About Me

My friends and family describe me as a lovely, pacific and open minded person who loves to be surrounded by people and always tries to find a solution when there is a problem. I'm always curious to explore new things and to get to know new people, cultures and languages :) Although I didn't know something about the climate change when I was 10 years old, I'm a vegetarian since then (because I didn't like meat). Nowadays a sustainable lifestyle is an important part of my life and I'm always trying to avoid plastics!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why I'm here? I really want to explore the world. Step by step and with no pressure. I love to meet new people, to make new friends all over the world and to get to know their country. I'd like to see places with the eyes of a local and not always with those of a tourist because I wish that the world will become home to me :) when I'm in your house, I'd like to participate in your daily life and also to share my housekeeping gardening and language skills with you. I really want to give something in return while enjoying your hospitality! :)

Interests

My interests are very diverse and for me it's always difficult to answer to this type of question like ''what are your interests?'' but I'll try to give a little overview of what is important in my life :) As I'm studying romance languages and cultures that's a big interest of mine! I love to study and to discover new languages (my newest project is Catalan). My first big love was definitely the French language (13 years of instruction in school) but then I visited Latin America and Spanish became my new big love.. Nowadays they need to share the first place in my heart :D in my studies I'm focusing on the (socio) linguistic part of the languages because that's the best connection with culture one can make (in my opinion).
I'm always happy to meet new people, to talk to them in a foreign language, to share experiences and skills, to just have a really good time together, to hang out together, to explore something together, to resolve any kind of problems together and maybe even become friends :)
And of course I really like hanging out with my friends and having interesting conversations about different subjects (films, documentaries, books, philosophical questions and of course sometimes just random things) drinking coffee or a glass of wine 🍷 also I often go for a walk because I love nature and it always helps me to forget the stressful daily routine for a while or just to arrange my thoughts... That might be enough for the beginning :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most beautiful thing I see almost every day is the sun ☀ the world is so beautiful while shining bright and people are smiling! But as I grew up in the Black Forest I also really appreciate snow and its absolute silence. That's the time of the year to breath deeply and to get new energy!
One of the most impressing moments in my life was the moment when I finally reached the top of Machu Picchu after climbing hundreds of steps. To look down to this mysterious building was an absolutely incredible feeling and I'm really grateful for this experience! :)
