My name is Aleks, I was born in Crimea, Russia. In 2009 I started my "new" life with backpack on my shoulders. Since this year I was hiking, camping, climbing mountains in Russia many times. In 2017-2018 I have been traveling in Asia for a 8 months.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling around the world to know people in other countries, to meet new friends and to form my own opinion about life beyond of politicized mass-media :)
When I'm staying at home I can offer my house for travellers like me.

I listen to different musical genres, but I can identify a few: ambient, new age, psychill, russian rock, alternative, etc. By the mood :)

I like DC comics cinematic universe very much. Films by Tarantino, Zack Snyder, Kim Ki Duk... Adventure films like Indiana Jones and others.

My favorite books is: Gregory David Roberts "Shantaram", Nicolas Roerich, Carlos Castaneda, "Bhagavad-gita", "Sensei" by Anastasia Novykh, Radhanath Swami "Journey Home", Jon Krakauer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was working hiking instructor for children in Crimean and Caucasus mountains. This is a very big responsibility and I proud of it.
