Hi, I'm Iskra! I'm a 19yr old marketing student in Skopje, Macedonia. By nature, I am an extremely curious person that’s willing to cross certain boundaries and sometimes go to questionable lengths to discover new things and learn more about the world I live in. I learned English by watching movies and cartoons, but also, by talking to random people on the internet. It may seem odd, but my curiosity is sometimes fed by talking to people from different cultures & experiences, and I’ve learned a lot, while still practicing my English. Through the internet, I made friendships and got to talk to people I never in a million years would have normally met and got to understand the world a lot more clearly than before. Even though I am a person who spends a lot of their time on the internet and I like spending hours playing video games, I am far from the typical nerd. I love having an active social life and going to raves with friends, but COVID really messed that up for all of us. Most of my free time is spent on reading literature, watching the Sopranos and doing useless research.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a 2000's baby and I grew up on pop, listening to a lot of Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Britney, Avril, Black Eyed Peas and all of the other greats. Throughout the past 19 years though, I've lived through all kinds of phases and got a lot of my current musical preferences from there. Other than that, I'm a big fan of rap music, I love delta blues, techno, psychedelic rock and I have an Elvis shrine at home. I'm all over the place...

Favorite movies are 2001: A Space Odyssey, La Haine, City of God, Mondo Cane, Forrest Gump and a bunch of other movies I can't remember right now. Everything by Kenneth Anger, Jodorowski and Tarantino.

I can't say which are my all time fave books, but my favorite books I've read so far this year are: The Corpse Washer, Fear and Loathing in LV, Frankenstein in Baghdad, The Virgin Suicides and After Dark.

A few weeks ago I saw a starving baby cat, so I took it home and fed it.
