I'm Isla, pronounced Aila for anyone not familiar with the name as they are here where I live in the Netherlands. So I'm usually called Iz-la by people who have never met me. I've grown up pretty internationally (I'm British) but in a small town in the north of the Netherlands. I'm a soon-to-be student at the University of Groningen where I plan to study Tax Law.

My hobbies mainly include reading, rowing, playing the trumpet (in an orchestra), bit of painting sometimes, tasting special beers, dyeing my hair funny colours, playing The Sims, however I'm pretty mediocre at all of these things so I just do it all for a laugh and to keep myself busy in life.

One thing I adore about my life is that my family and I have always had the option to go and visit friends and family abroad. This I would love to continue into my own life as I stop living with my parents so meeting new people is great way to do this I think.

音乐、电影和书籍

Music: rock mixed with bit of pop and metal, things like Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed, AC/DC, Twenty One Pilots, Area 11, Dire Straits, Green Day. But I love the 80s as well though and my boyfriend adores hardstyle so I'm forced into that too. Swedish musicians like ABBA, Europe (seeing them in September) and Roxette are great too.. oh wait, that's still a lot of 80s I've got there.

Movies: I don't watch that many of them but when I do I always enjoy it. My current favourite is Trainspotting and for nostalgia (okay I still love them) any Disney-Pixar movie.

Books: unlike movies I do get through quite a few books. My favourite books include the Harry Potter series (obviously), The Name of the Wind series, Game of Thrones series, The Grapes of Wrath, The Catcher in the Rye, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, I could go on but if you're interested just ask and if you're not don't.

I've taken a ride on the fastest roller coaster in the world.. in Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi. And living where I do being able to drive to anywhere in Europe is all amazing really.

I'm fluent in English and Dutch and I can get by in German too. Spanish is a language I'm trying to get better at. And I'm a soon to be tax law student so maybe I could teach you some tax evasion too (just kidding).

I can share stories about our lives and I can share happiness and maybe bring some hagelslag from the Netherlands because hagelslag is a fantastic thing to add to your life.
