ABOUT ME

Hi my name is Isla and I have been traveling for the last two years, having the most amazing experience meeting lots of interesting and fantastic people on the way. I have been to India, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and most of my time has been spent in Australia. On my travels I like to experience the culture and cooking of the country and have lots of new experiences.

I'm easy going and like to have a positive out look on life. I enjoy the outdoors, nature, wildlife and I love animals. I enjoy going out and socialising and meeting new people from different cultures. I really enjoy meeting the local people in the area and eating the local food.

PHILOSOPHY

I have lots of thoughts too many to put down so I'll put down a few of my favourite's.

Live your life in the now don't worry about tomorrow as it never comes and let go of the past as you can't change it but you can learn from it.

When you change the way you look at things the things you look at change.

Remember that in life the only person that you can change is yourself and when you do your world will change.

Treat others the way you would like to be treated.

Speak the truth and follow your heart. My heart is on the left but it is always right.

Interests

I enjoy traveling and meeting new people from different countries and cultures.

I love nature and wildlife and think that it's important to leave the planet the way we find it and only use what we need in life. I love all animals and have a horse back home and enjoy horse riding.

But my main interest in life is to hopefully one day to live in a world that has more love and peace, where every human has access to clean water and food as I believe that this is our basic human right which everyone should have access too. There is enough money in this world for no-one to starve if only we could share it with one another.

I also enjoy socialising, dancing, reading, yoga and the outdoors.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all sorts of music anything from classical to electro, dance bands I love Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, The Doors, Simple Minds, Tom Petty too many to list. Not keen on country or anything with swearing and violent words.

Movies I like true stories anything with a twist, funny. Favoutites - Fight Club, Seven Years in Tibet, V for Vendetta, Good Will Hunting, Into the Wild and of course Slumdog Millionaire. Not keen on any girlie cheesy movies or horror.

Books I love anything about personal development, self growth, or philosophy anything by Louise Hay or Hay House Publishings especially Wayne Dyer. I've just finished reading Wisdom of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman which I would highly recommend and I've just started to read The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari by Robin Sharma which is very good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have backpacked through India and learned so much from the people.

Stayed with Gypsies in the mountains of Kashmir.

Swam with Whale sharkes off Exeter in WA

Went on a two week road trip in a truck in Oz and traveled 12,000km.

I think that we should all learn to love ourselves and love one another and then maybe we would live in a world with more peace and harmony.
