Overview
About Me
I'm heavily involved in Electric Vehicles and advocating for their adoption. Right now, I'm converting a 1984 Firebird Trans Am to Fully Electric. I'm the President of the Central Washington University Electric Vehicle Club.
I'm a part-time Novelist writing a fiction spy thriller on a Royal Typewriter. I used to do photography professionally. I have also been a gardener, military intelligence analyst, combat engineer, professional driver/transporter, gas station service attendant, espresso barista, and YouTuber.
I hear the call of the fresh powder drop deep in the mountains. It's calling to me, telling me to strap on my ski boots and roll out. When that happens, it's time to get off of this pile of sand called an island and live my life.
Spring comes around and it's time to leave the mountain for fresh coconuts picked straight from the tree. I still haven't perfected the art of climbing a palm with a machete, but I have the wind to knock down the fruit that I need with a pebble or a brick.
By the time summer comes around, I'm back in my old scout unit, teaching the young scouts how to build fires and be good citizens. Scout camp's a huge blast. I love the wild places on this earth.
When fall comes back around I am once again reminded of my indoor personality.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am an avid traveler and a hospitable host, and meeting new people is something I very much enjoy. I live my life on the edge of danger. I have always been extremely foreword. If I want to know something about someone, I just ask them. I think it all has to do with how you use your words. Words can hurt people and they can also brighten their day, but they are just words.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My friend told me about this little village in Mexico where he could get a place for me to stay for free. I was interested and, of course, I went to that village. It was a surfing camp north of Xtapa that has remained virtually untouched by conflict for decades. I wanted to know how my friend found this place and he told me about this site called couchsurfing. I came home and forgot the name of the site.
It wasn't until I was emailing another friend of mine who was on a bicycle trip around the world that I was reminded of this site and given a direct link. I started my profile and have been spreading the word within my community about this awesome site.
Interests
I love to play First Person Shooters like Halo and Black Ops on my big screen. Skydiving and skiing are very expensive hobbies of mine - when I have the money. I like moving my body and expressing myself artistically. I love to write anything; I have been a journalist, have had my poems published, and am working on my first readable novel. I love taking pictures (used to have my own studio), my newest baby is a Cannon EOS-T3. I play golf occasionally. I also enjoy canoeing, kayaking, hiking.

Lesson # 431: It is best not to travel on any aircraft with a sinus infection. I did this once while flying commercial from SETAC to SF. That was the most painful thing I have ever experienced.
Lesson # 365: There are certain people that shouldn't know your name. Like random military recruiters and Jehovah's witnesses.
Lesson# 552: There is no guidebook for insanity.
