About Me

Updated: 06/05/2024

!!! If you are a surfer. Please read "My Home" section of the profile and send me the password !!!

Eternally curious; universally zoned out.

About me
My name is Ismailツ
I know who I am, but I am also a little box of paradoxes and surprise myself much too often.
I could only deduce with certainty after much deliberation, that I am a wanderer in the darkness, hurling in the void of space and time, trying to make sense of my coincidental existence.

I consider myself a radical and very open-minded person with a zeal for adventure. I believe in creating space for self and others so that they can be whoever they can or want to be, I do feel life is meant to lived without any inhibition while being and remaining accountable.

Current Mission
1) Learn to be able to communicate with people around me better, with more honesty, humility and grace.
2) To be able to understand me and my needs better.
3) I am currently working as a freelance writer and SMM. My long-term dream or vision is, a self-sustaining, scalable community of travellers

Philosophy that resonates and hits too close to home.

"Everytime I find the meaning of life, they change it." Daniel Klein

"I think, therefore I am." René Descartes

“Question everything. Every stripe, every star, every word spoken. Everything.” Ernest Gaines

"When love flows with freedom, there is beauty." - Osho

"There are no facts, only interpretations." Friedrich Nietzsche

"I am left to die alone, I am my only judge"— Dark (German webseries)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to Couchsurfing when I was planning my first solo trip to the Himalayas in 2015.
I have met countless people in my travel journey who have helped me and shaped me into who I am today.
I am currently working on creating a travel community and would love to host and help build the community.

Couchsurfing Experience:
Couchsurfing has given me a wonderful opportunity to meet amazing souls from all walks of life.
I am so grateful for the families and friends who have opened their homes for me and showered me with their hospitality and love, I have had many moments I would forever cherish.

I have had amazing experiences while being hosted, and hosting other travellers at my home has been so rewarding so far.

I am actively hosting I believe it's only fair to give back to the community I have received so much from, added bonus travel comes to me when I myself can't travel.

"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page".
Saint Augustine

Interests

I like interacting and talking, can be very extroverted with my kind of people, love conversing on varied topics from life, philosophy, existence of being, liberal politics, radical idealogies, psychology, trauma, therapy and modern technology.

Zoning out, sometimes at the most inconvenient times and places.
Pondering, and trying to make sense of newly discovered observations, ideas, thoughts, and facts and making weird and farfetched connections.

I like collecting books, can never have too many books ( being mindful to read, not just hoard)

I love collecting currencies, have a very humble collection mainly coins and a few notes, would be appreciated if you could gift the smallest denomination from your country.

Watching Series and Movies: Mostly sci-fi, thrillers with good plots, well-written and character-driven dramas, and thought-provoking existentialism is something I can watch all day.

Travelling: Mostly backpacking, hiking, hitchhiking and camping; prefer mountains over beaches any day. Mountains are home.
