Overview
About Me
Hello everyone! My name is Isobel and I am an American college student currently studying abroad in Grenoble, France. I was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California, a little beach town where everyone knows everyone. I grew up traveling quite a bit with my parents and the travel bug hasn't gone away. I love "wandering" whenever I get a chance : )
I speak French and English fluently and I would someday like to learn Portuguese. At the moment, I am living with a host family which has taught me a lot about living in someone else's home and the customs and expectations that come along with it. Like most people on this site, I am passionate about learning the ways of different cultures and countries.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living abroad currently! (in France)
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn about Geneva in particular because I am interested in pursuing a career at the embassy there. So I would love to find a host who could show me around the city and especially the embassy.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my multicultural background (I am half Jewish and half Christian, Scottish, Lithuanian, Moroccan, and more) and the things that are associated with them: i.e. food, music, art, religion. I feel fortunate to have grown up with such a rich variety of cultures and I love sharing them with others.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, France, Israel, Mexico, Morocco, Portugal, Spain
Countries I’ve Lived In
