Overview
About Me
I'm always on a mission to delve deeper into things, but I love to also go with the flow and experience things as they unfold. I love adventure, borderline-crazy trips (at least for most people, not as much for most of the couchsurfing community) and most of all sharing these experiences with like-minded peeps or anyone who is willing to bring anything of themselves. I am passionate about understanding the lives and thoughts of my fellow humans and I love hear people's stories and their journey, which is one of the reasons why I am so passionate about couchsurfing and see it as one of my favorite projects out there.
I love learning, period. Whatever you want to share, whatever thought or idea comes to your mind, I'm happy to listen and do my best to contribute back. I love to discuss anything and everything, my personal geek-out topis are biology, neuroscience, genetics etc.
I love and overuse sarcasm, I love fast pace (I do have to admit to occasional pointless binges on Gilmore Girls), working out, dancing and I tend to be optimistic most of the time (maybe unless I'm tired). I try to find the sweet spot between not taking life too seriously and being a responsible and decent human being. I appreciate honesty above all and I enjoy straight-forward people.
I am clean and organized most of the time, unless there's been a glitch in my schedule, but I still try to do my best to keep calm. I don't smoke.
I decided to do my PhD and still have a few years to go, so I can't offer as much time as I used to have before, but I am still happy to share my home, meals, stories and laughs!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love inquisitive people passionate about the world and nowhere I looked is there more people like that than on CS. I love talking to people I would never meet in my everyday life and I've been blessed with many conversations and encounters that shaped my life to a significant degree and at times shifted my point of view. I came to realize I probably value nothing more than connections to other people in this world and I consider myself extremely lucky to be part of the CS community.
Interests
I enjoy being active, I love cycling, walking, running, working out, playing volleyball, soccer or whatever else. I am a big fan of dancing from ballet to pole dancing. I love playing with and taking care of animals, I enjoy all kinds of movies and I have a keen interest in meditation. I love music - I've been playing piano for many years, tried out violin and flute and has been shown not to completely suck with drums. I used to be a bookworm, but don't have as much time anymore and I love to discover new things
Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy a really wide range of music/movies/literature, but don't really have a favorite artist/actor/director/writer. I partake in anything from Disney´s through documentaries to extremely mainstream teenage audience-aimed Netflix series. I find a strange satisfaction in reading textbooks and books I pick out of random
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Run over 50k through unknown forests for a petition run, half the time getting lost. Cycled through Hungary and west Romania. Spent a month living in Maui, Hawai
Got a dog despite it not being a "smart choice". One of the best decisions of my life!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to debate and discuss almost anything. I am interested in cultural habits and norms, medicine, environment, sustainability, science, but I do not discriminate any topic that's rooted in rational thinking or personal experience. I do my best to make my time spent with someone else mutually beneficial.
I love to move my body, so if you want to go running, dancing or work out at the gym, I am always happy to join. If you're interested in genetics or neurobiology, I am happy to answer your question to the most of my ability
