Hello! I'm Inge, interested in traveling, philosophy, people, ideals, music, new ideas, creativity, community and many other things. I like to think, to talk, to party, to study, to travel and to meet people.

I live in Uppsala, Sweden, where I moved in the autumn of 2018. Before, I lived in Utrecht (the Netherlands), Providence (USA) and Middelburg (the Netherlands). I have love for all those places.

Currently, I'm working as a PhD at the University of Uppsala. I research participation projects by museums.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing to me is a great experiment of trust. I have hitchhiked and done couchsurfing: to me it is the way to see the best of humanity. We all take a leap of faith, and by staying humble and respectful we can learn so much from each other. Each conversation started because of a couchsurfing match (either as a host, guest or meeting up with someone) has been interesting and left me wanting to know more about the other!

I have not hosted anyone in a while (I have been living in tiny, temporary spaces) nor have I stayed with others for the last few years. I have, however, met up with Couchsurfers in several places: Curacao, Suriname and France. In my experience it has been a great way to meet others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All experiences have been pleasant and exciting! I have mostly hosted in Middelburg. I liked spending time with my guests, cook together, share stories (and a beer), when I have the time.

兴趣

I really like music. Listening, playing, singing. It is one of the things that really has a big influence on my mood and day. I love going to concerts and share music with others (as long as they are quiet ;) ). In general I prefer the smaller venue over big ones. And I love making music (piano, guitar, singing).

I like being active (yoga, volleyball) and I like lounging (reading, tv watching, having a chat).
