Hi!I am Ivan, I am Bulgarian who lived in the UK for some time. I have a passion for food and drink and all good things...

PHILOSOPHY

Don't ask about philosophy - you can't get rid of me! They called me wooden philosopher at school and I am still the same. Quite a direct person, usually saying what's on my tongue, directly no reserves, though i can also play with them words too , just for fun!
The good jokers have to be able to take jokes too and to laugh at them selves! ;-)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Maybe the area I've lived in in the UK at the time of me joining the CS was not that popular among couch surfers, so I've had not that many CS requests, though it is worth to see this little peace of haven on earth in the south-west of England. Believe me I've explored most places and it's nice n' pretty in many ways in Cornwall and Devon. A good week in Barcelona in 2008 and another in Berlin in 2010, hosted by all these nice people! Hosted a guest from Australia in Veliko Tarnovo, BG for a week in 2012. Attended few CS meeting with very interesting people in my area in Bulgaria. Back in Bulgaria in 2011, with several summers spend in sunny Cyprus, Germany and Norway at present, I tend to preffer visiting a country not just for few days but to stay and live there few months at least, which allowes me to explore the area, visiting different places and meet people, trying to get knowlege about life and culture, local food and drinks are also one good part of it . Baden Wurtenberg in Germany is a very good experience. I lived in two different places in the recent years and traveled to many more in the area and beyond surrounded by vineyards, castles, orchards and lakes, mountains and rivers. You've got it all from pine forests to palms , from big cities to little villages, from Catedrels to the little old buildings of the local pubs or historicsal houses. The near borders of Swiss and France is another perk , so I strongly recomed you to visit that area and stay long term! Current mission NORWAY...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

16-23.04.2008 amazing week spend in Barcelona, in the company of very nice Lithuanian girl and hosted from all these great people! Thanks Zivile and friends!
16-20.05.2010 visited Berlin. Very impressed. Who said that the Germans are cold?!! Simply not true - had a great time in a very positive and intelligent company. Thank you for the hospitality guys!
August 2012 hosted Sharon White from Australia,she was my first surfer to host, so it was good to see Bulgaria trough the eyes of someone who comes from so far away- Downunder!

Zainteresowania

Almost everything., I like to play tennis, when possible and I enjoy walking, skiing, ice skating , jogging ,and many more. I like food as already mentioned, not only because I am a chef by trade. I love country and rustic food, but modern twist of an old clasic will do no harm , if done well! I can be very active, but lazy as well, depending on how i feel at the moment. Other likes: music, theater and art at all. I hope to learn more technical stuff about photography one day and even painting. I am thinking as green as possible- save the planet!!!

Builded up a stone labyrinth in the nature! Crazy stuff! :-D

Made my own fruit wine - very proud with the result!

Recycled most, up to 90% of the waste at my work place in the UK, including the organic material! 3D effect of doing so. Amazingly I saved up to 500pounds for a year to the company, just by buying less black bin liners!

Planted some walnut and chestnut trees in my field( about 200 of them), on a heel near my village, where hopefully I'll have a nice organic garden in the future. Oh! You have to see the view from the top of the hill!

I can help you with cooking, to eat and live healthy, or loosing weight. I will be glad to learn horse riding, yachting and salsa dancing, well all sorts of dancing, tango will be amazing,rock climbing maybe and many more things perhaps.

A talk over all matters! :-) History, future , people and the people, some of my life experiences and so on! A drink, a meal, a day and an evening, ...in company is always better! ;-) My knoledge in some spheres if required!
