About Me
Hello,
I am a 28 year old American currently traveling. I have a deep interest in the outdoors and in people, places, and cultures. I plan on becoming a high school social studies teacher, but I have decided to do some traveling before I settle into this career.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couch surfing to meet new people, get a feel for local life, and save some money. I hope to return the kindness of hosts by paying it forward and hosting couch surfers in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kinds of different music from witch house to choral, indie rap to neofolk, and beyond. Recently, I have been listening to Aurora, Aldous Harding, Marlon Williams, and Agnes Obel a bit. I also just discovered polyphonic music which I am digging.
Favorite movies are some of the usual suspects: Lord of the Rings, Star Wars (original 3), Princess Monoke, Amelie. I enjoy quite a wide array, including quite a few foreign films. Recent films that stand out: A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, Never Cry Wolf, Fantastic Planet.
I don't read much fiction anymore, but I am normally reading something or other related to history, social sciences, politics, world religion, travel, nature, or philosophy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently dived with thresher sharks in the Philippines. During one of the dives my instructor took me down to the maximum recreational diving depth of 40 meters. That was pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am ready and eager to share what I can, but I don't feel particularly competent in teaching anything except perhaps some English. Always ready to learn and I have a developed appetite for a learning new things.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A whole lotta love. Some ideas and facts. A little perspective. A smidgen of wisdom.
I try to carry some little trinkets with me from home when I can. As far as information or stories, I'm an open book (though I do need to work on my story telling).
