About Me

I'm an illustrator currently residing in Norwich, UK. I spend a lot of my time smoking copious cigarettes/ drinking coffee whilst drawing, painting, sewing, taking photographs, reading and writing...just generally trying to be creative in any way that I can. I recently started screen-printing, and I'm happy with the lack of success I've had with it thus far-meaning I have the opportunity to experiment and gradually learn a new skill.

I love to cook very ostentatious and extensive meals for lots of my friends at once. There's nothing I enjoy more than making good food for people, sitting down with a glass of wine (preferably outside) and shooting the shit with the people I care about the most.

Right now I'm trying to come up with ways of escaping the daily mundanity/ cycle of doing a bullshit job for a living and being placated into a false sense of security/ trapped by a job that pays just enough for me to survive.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I occasionally host and I surf. I talk, laugh, cook and draw with anyone that I meet through CouchSurf. It's an amazing thing to be part of.

So far my CouchSurfing experience has been amazing and almost life changing. The people that hosted me in Vienna, Amsterdam, Istanbul, Belgrade, Berlin and Budapest were incredible and helped to make my journeys across Europe far more memorable.

As a host, I want to meet inspiring people and, hopefully, inspire others. I want to share stories and have an adventure-sharing my hometown with new people helps me to see it in a fresh light.

Interests

Making 'art', looking at art, photography, sewing, reading, writing, and people.
I love to take the time just to think; I enjoy sitting back and just contemplating and observing the world around me. There is a lot you can learn from just siletly watching what's going on.

But I also love adventure and I think it is important to remember that you can't just sit around waiting for something to happen, you have to get out there and make it happen for yourself. You have to keep active.

At the moment, one of my favorite things to do is creatively collaborate with like-minded people, whether that be through music, art or writing...I'm open to anything. I love the idea that two or more people can come together to create one thing.
