Hey there! My name is Istabrak and I am a 23 year old swede and arab. Currently living in Uppsala studying psychology.

I am on Couchsurfing because I would love to spend time with locals, learning about the culture and sharing good laughs and valuable experiences.

I strongly believe and follow the philosophy of life not having a meaning unless you give it one. I try to live by this to the fullest by always trying to step out of my comfort-zones and seeking out new experiences. I’m like a sponge, sucking up everything around me and always learning, experiencing and loving. The most important thing for me is to stay humble. I wholeheartedly believe that everyone you meet knows something you don’t and therefore is able to teach you something.

I always try to stay as open-minded and humble as possible. Everyone has their own story to tell and I would be more than delighted to sit down with some coffee or a beer and talk.

Lastly, I really love cats with all my soul and heart, so if you have a cat you can be sure that I will give it the best scratches and rubs that it deserves!!

I also really love indie bands and am usually drawn to German bands such as Giant Rooks and AnnenMayKantereit. I am also a big fan of Alt-J, FIL BO RIVA, and Milky Chance. But then again anything by Queen is great. Jazz is fantastic too! Basically I just love to explore music.

I love reading, but I don't know how to categorize what I read, often it's a book I found in a second-hand shop.
