ABOUT ME
I'm Sergio and I'm from Rome, Italy.
I'm a very laid back person, very nice - so they say! - and I'm always looking for chances to experience interculturality. I love travelling and meeting new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've had experiences only as a couchsurfer, never as a host. Since my experiences have all been extremely positive, I think I am ready to take the next step!

Music, Movies, and Books
MOVIES
Michel Gondry ("The Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind", "Erase Rewind"), Lars Von Trier ("Dogville", "Dancer in the Dark"), François Ozon ("8 Femmes", "Sitcom"), Almodovar (everything!), Jonas Akerlund (how visionary is "Spun"?), Quentin Tarantino ("Four Rooms", "Kill Bill", "Grindhouse: Deathproof"), Robert Rodriguez (I just saw "Grindouse: Planet Terror" and I laughed my ass off!)and all the Pixar movies. Other movies that I particularly like are: "The Dangerous Liasisons", "Before Sunrise", "Big Fish", etc... I'm obsessed with old movies and musicals!
MUSIC
Anything! Bjork, Massive Attack, Matmos, Boards of Canada, Florence + The Machine, Portishead, These New Puritans, M.I.A., Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Jewel, Beirut, Rufus Wainwright, Erykah Badu, Thom Yorke, Coco Rosie, Emiliana Torrini, and many many more (also pop music, anything that lets yourself go).
BOOKS
Amelie Nothomb, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Boris Vian, Murakami Haruki, Alessandro Baricco, Isabel Allende (some), Victor Hugo, and many more. I LOVE classics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think the most amazing thing I've done so far is volunteer work. It came absolutely out of nowhere: I had to lead some international exchanges in Romania, France and Turkey about disability with physically and mentally challenged participants or orphans. I had no experience whatsoever, but I'm usually a person that tries everything. It was absolutely mind blowing: you tend to think that it's hard, you say to yourself "you're too sensitive to do something like that", but then you discover that it's you the one that sets the limits.
Teach, Learn, Share
I work with languages, so that's something that I can share and that I'm interested in. I speak italian, english and spanish, and some french. I would love to improve my french and I'd love to get on the portuguese language too.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A nice sofa bed in my living room. A nice meal. A nice stroll through the city.
