About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Julio and I are two decorators and artists who want to travel the world learning more about art and spreading our own art. We started our adventure in November 2017 in Germany, where we spent three months in the city of Landsberg, passing through Berlin and Munich, we lived for four months in the Isle of Man - UK, and after that, 3 months in Spain.

ABOUT ME

I am a journalist and I was born in south of Brazil, in Porto Alegre. From 2015 to 2016, I lived in Dublin, Ireland, where I met my boyfriend, Júlio, who is a cultural and radio producer from northeast of Brazil, city of Olinda, state of Pernambuco. We love working with art and and we hope to live in other countries working as artists and decorators.

PHILOSOPHY

Do the best you can in the circumstances that you are in and consider the difficulties a fun challenge!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Júlio and I have a vacant two-person room in our house, which is close to the beach and the historic center. Our house is part of a three story house. Our house is the middle one. The staircase is independent, so it looks like a small building. The first floor is the garage and has a common area with barbecue, sink and the dogs (2).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We already hosted almost 10 people in our house and were all great experiences. We have made friends that we will carry forever in our hearts. Although a misunderstanding has already occurred, the experiences were all positive.

Interests

I like working with photography and with digital collage. I also really like coffee (in Ireland, I loved working as a barista). Júlio and I want to spend our lives traveling and creating. Júlio is very fond of carpentry and building things. We love to take long walks and to see all that a new destination has to offer. We like to go to nightclubs and bars and to meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

We are crazy in love for Game of Thrones and Rick and Morty. Júlio likes to read biographies and I like to read about metaphysics or astrophysics. I do not understand much, but I like what I understand.
We listen to music and podcasts a lot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a backpacking trip through South America in January and February 2012.
In 2015, me and Júlio moved to Ireland and met there, three months later. We stayed there for one year. This hole experience was amazing. Best year of our lives.
Now we are traveling the world working with decoration and art, spending three months in Germany and four months in Isle of Man - UK.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach Portuguese, English and some Spanish.
We can teach you how to cook typical Brazilian foods, dance typical dances and make artistic compositions in your home. And we can teach you our slangs!!!
We would like to strengthen English and learn other languages. We are also interested in learning gardening, carpentry, interior design and exchanging ideas about art.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We offer a room for two people. We do not have air conditioning, but we live two blocks from the sea, so there is a lot of wind around the house and there's a fan in the room.
We have a cat that spends most of the time on the roofs. We also have a balcony that we are transforming into garden and we have a hammock to hang.
There are two dogs in our "little building", but they never stay inside the house.
We offer washing machine and an outside area with clothesline for hanging clothes (they dry in 30 minutes).
The living room, the kitchen and the bathroom are shared with me and Júlio. We are organized and clean and keep it all that way.
We do not have TV, but we have WIFI.
Júlio is from Olinda, so he is an excellent tour guide.
