About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I read National Geographic growing up. My objective is to bridge the gap between those glossy pages and reality.
A good laugh and connection is what I search for in human interaction.
ABOUT ME
I never have a fixed plan when it comes to traveling because I feel that I'll miss out on opportunities if I'm trying to stick to an itinerary. Somewhere in the patchwork I always hope to meet locals, eat good food and take my time.
It is roaming freedom that made my childhood so vivid and it is, at 23, how I like to travel: straight into the tangle. These paths are important to me because they are ones of getting lost, of discovery, which ultimately lead me to the reconsiderations of habits, routine and the cares of home that only come from viewing them at a distance. The theme is freedom, a liberation from the perpetual hurry of civilization.
To me, richness in life seems to be at the edges of my own comfort. The more I leave this zone the more it grows. Whether that means traveling to a foreign place or trying something new at home. I'll go on forever knowing that I don't have all the answers. And that's okay.
PHILOSOPHY
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
In traveling we are unbound by geography or history or social bounds and St. Augustine had it right when he said that "The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page."
I’m really good at:
Making the best of the worst situation
Balancing adventure with common sense
Baking a mean cheesecake
Laughing at myself
Spelling words
