About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get to know myself through getting to know the world around me

ABOUT ME

The words that best define me are:
- Friendly: I get along with most people I met on Earth. I have a natural talent to understand people's problems and personal situations and empathize with them.
- Adventurous: Every so often, I need to break my rutine and go backpacking to some remote corner of the world, try a new extreme sport or simply do something stupid and reckeless.
- Curious: I want to know about this faboulus world around us. I want to learn the myriad of phylosiphies that are out there, and the infinite ways in which people live their lifes. It is, for me, the best way of learning who I really am.

Having lived and worked in many different countries, I do not really feel like I belong to any of them. I think every place I have lived in, every culture I have been a part of, has influence my life, change my mentality and made me a richer person.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in doing your best at whatever situation you find yourself in. I believe that we should live aware that our existence is finite, and behave accordingly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will host people whenever possible and show them around. I also want to use up the opportunity to meet couchsurfers wherever I go, and to have them show me bits of the city they live in and of their culture.

Interests

I am very interested in sports. I practice squash, tennis, ping pong, cross-country and swimming. I practice surfing, and have had experiences with other extreme sports such as skydiving and bangee jumping. I am extremely interested in practicing hang gliding.
Other interests include playing guitar, writing (mostly short stories), and learning languages.
I am one of those people that always have a book in his hand. I love crime novels and novels in which I can read about people with lifes and situations radically different from my own.
However, my biggest interest is traveling. Why? Because is when traveling that you meet the most interesting people; people that inspire and challenge you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was awestruck by the starry sky in the island of Tioman, in Malaysia. Due to the total lack of light pollution you could enjoy a sky illuminated by the light of a sea of stars. It was one of the most inspiring sights of my life.

My Camino de Santiago walk was also a once in a lifetime experience. I walked for 35 days, from Saint Jean Pied-de-Port to Finisterre. I bounded with fellow pilgrims and got to know their inspiring life stories. Once my journey was over, I felt energized and full of enthusiasm about life and about traveling. Most importantly, I felt like I had learnt a lot of things.
