About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Play tag with Bardi Johannsson.

ABOUT ME

I'm impulsive, but it always leads to adventure. I enjoy out-of-the-ordinary and surrealistic landscapes, making Iceland one of my favorite ever travel destinations! Hiking is my passion and I want someday to hike in Hawaii and New Zealand. Though, of course, my Colorado mountains will always be loved. Other than my own two feet, I enjoy the passenger seat of a car... that's going somewhere of course, preferably on some lonely road out West.

PHILOSOPHY

Where there is no ego, there is freedom to find true love in everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My comfy couch is yours...! Or... it used to be. When I lived in Fort Collins. Now that I'm in Winter Springs, Orlando, I'm always looking for cool new places and friends to enjoy a few hours with. Please introduce yourself! I'm as approachable as they get. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Oh gosh, too many to count! Among my favorites were Ani (appleseed!) my very first host in Twin Falls, Idaho. She's a lovely lass who now travels the country solo and sends me postcards and occasional visits along the way. Other favorites have to include Altin, my host in Cambridge who took me to a bike adventure to a hidden outdoor theatre. Going on loooong bike rides with Andrea. Certainly Cherie, a bright bubbly young lady in Sacramento, who took us in to her beautiful home full of gorgeous and eclectic home decor that she collected. Navin's pad in San Francisco was unforgettable as well. Oh! And of course, Orri, the sweet dreadlocked Icelander who showed me around Akureyri one wonderful evening. Not to mention all the beautiful people I've met simply through travel and farming that will always be remembered through pictures and the pages of one treasured journal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming in the blue grotto of Capri and running around the Dolomites with friends. Hitchhiking from Colorado to the Oregon coast.

One rainy day on Highway 1, Brandon (my best friend) and I were hitchhiking north, laughing at our circumstance. Before we knew it, an older (70's) couple pulled over and decided to bring us to their beachfront home where we were met with spectacular views, the softest bed I've ever laid my head, a delicious home-made dinner and some incredible travel stories. Talk about hospitality. One experience we will never forget!

Teach, Learn, Share

For anyone who is new/interested in meditation I may be able to lend a hand! I want to learn about sustainable living and opportunities to travel to faraway places. I will school you on the wonderous world of TimTam and teach you how to use a 9-volt battery for free laundry. I can give relatively sound advice on hitch-hiking if that's your cup of tea.

Tell me stories or sit in silence and I'll be your friend. Although I secretly want to learn how to juggle...
