About Me

Hi everybody! ;)

I'm a person looking for any sense in this world. In the meantime, I try to enjoy life as much as I can do. My name is Itsaso and I've just finished my university studies of International Relations in Madrid and I'm willing to continue learning stuffs out of the academic world, at least for a while.

I'm a curious person, and enjoy hearing from others, as well as sharing opinions and thoughts about different social issues (politics in general, but also very interested in ecofeminism, permaculture principles, minimalism and self-sufficiency way of life). I like to learn from new experiences as well as from the different perspectives that meeting new people from all over the world gives it to you.

I'm coming from the Basque Country, a pretty nice and interesting area surrounded by mountains and sea. However, there is a lot to see out there. Yes, I love traveling (not just the destination, but the journey) and discovering new places and people around the world. However, I'm really reconsidering my travel models. Once I heard something from someone about travels. It was something like: "Traveling? Existing is enough for traveling". I'm thinking quite a lot about this lately...

I like reading and writing (especially while I'm traveling), music and good company. City life is good, but I also appreciate and need nature, countryside and mountains for my mental well-being. I like people, but I also enjoy of myself. I would say I am an easy-going, tolerant and open-minded, calm but adventurous at the same time and independent person.

I take delight from little moments, those which end up giving a kind of a sense to this absurd and crazy life. And for this, and for what I previously said, I really consider couchsurfing a fantastic tool not just for traveling, but for any kind of self-development or life experience travel.

See you soon ;)

Itsaso
