Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My partner and I are moving to Santander, Cantabria Spain where we will be working as English language assistants. We are hoping to meet new friends and get to know our new home and community. My partner is a musician and illustrator so we are especially looking to get involved in the local arts and music scene.

Interests

I am hoping to improve my Spanish and am always looking for language exchange partners looking to improve or practice their English.

I love meeting new people and making friends especially with artists, musicians, and creative types. I used to live in an artist collective house that would often host rock shows in the basement and would love to find similar communities in Spain. My partner and I have also played music ourselves and would be interested in playing music with others.

My partner writes and illustrates comic books so we are looking for people who share those interests as well.

I am happy to help others learn English, help with childcare, teach art to children, help with cooking.

I want to learn Spanish, and get to know the culture and people of Spain.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach English share help with household chores, cooking, and childcare, teach basic embroidery.
My partner can do all this and also play and/or teach guitar or help you with an art project. He also knows how to fix guitars and amplifiers.
