HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Started just surfing, but have hosted many at my apartment in Montreal. Will be on the surfing side of things for a while, but looking to host again when I return!

Elaborate sandwiches, playing music, theoretical physics, urban planning, making and eating good food, lazing in the sun, pretending not to be a tourist, watching live music in any form, bike races, bluegrass jams, doodling, making myself all too comfortable in cafes, anti-imperialism, fixing things, building things, taking things apart, compulsive weather checking, grapefruit, buying more books than I have time to read, singing, bargain grocery shopping, moving all too much, queer folks, bike coops, solidarity work, free museums, free samples, free things in general, being massively disorganized and easily distracted, taking off.

My music taste ranges from bluegrass to punk to electronica to post rock to experimental...whatever you'll throw at me. I'll give (almost) everything a chance. Favorites that never grow old include Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Nick Cave, Gillian Welch, Mogwai, Modest Mouse, The Unsettlers, Russian Circles, Tom Waits and Elliott Smith.
Book wise, I've been geeking out on critical race theory and radical urban planning literature recently. But making an attempt to give my mind a break and discover good fiction.
