ABOUT ME

I'm a bit of a nomad who loves to read, write, travel and go on adventures. For me, traveling leads to growth. I am continually renewed and restructured as I meet people from all over the world.

My husband and I work seasonally in Alaska. In between seasons, you'll find us road tripping in the states or eating street food in Asia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travel is enriched by the people who come into your lives unexpectedly.

I want to get to know places through the eyes of locals. If I'm lucky, I'll make some life long friends along the way!

Also, I'm always looking for people who would like to come work with me in Alaska!

Interests

I'm an avid reader of all things non-fiction. I'm a flash fiction and travel writer.

I LOVE WHALES. Thankfully, my job in Alaska allows me to see whales from my bedroom window!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in India, I went trekking through the Himalayan Mountains for four days. We came across a group of nomadic people who couldn't speak any english but they invited us into their huts to make us some tea and bread. Despite our language barrier, we connected in a way that I can't describe.

I work on a crabbing boat in Alaska as a tour guide.

I have an extensive knowledge of whales and any other wildlife in Alaska, along with the history of the state. I can hook you up with a seasonal job in Alaska.

I am a freelance writer and editor, so I'm happy to share those skills if you're in need of a quick session!
