About Me

I have been living in Bogotá, Colombia, for the last year, working as an english teacher in a public school.
I graduated last year in Cooperation for Development in Italy. I spent my Erasmus year in Seville, Spain.
Between 2013 and 2014 I travelled through Latin America, and I deeply felt in love with this continent. I worked for an NGO in Argentina during four months, in Buenos Aires and in a Mapuche community in Patagonia. Then I travelled through Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Bolivia, Perú and Cuba as a backpacker.
I consider myself as a traveler and not a tourist. Traveling is discover a new world, and be part of this, is forget your cultural background and adopt a new one.
I love to experience, to try new things, to look things from a different point of view, to learn new feeling, tastes, etc.. I love breaking stereotypes and clichés.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used Couchsurfing before a couple of time, even if I've always have the chance to find good friends on my way, in Europe and in America. I truly believe the best thing can happen to me during a travel is the opportunity to share with local people. Find someone who wants to show me his city and teach me about his culture is the only way to learn hidden aspects of a foreign country, to take part in it, to feel I have really known it.

Interests

I left my hometown in 2008, to attend university. Since then, I have been living here and there, sometimes studying, sometimes working, sometimes traveling, but always sharing with a looot of people: I changed eight houses in four different countries, sharing it with more than forty people from seven nationalities.
The only thing that I am proud of myself is that in every city I could find "home", I could keep the rhythm and feeling part of it. In every experience I put all myself, my positive energy and my good attitude, to do the best work I can do, to learn as much as I can, to improve and to be everyday a little bit a better person.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to any kind of music, it depends on the moment. I love italian music from 80's and Tango music.

My favorite directors are Tarantino, Almodovar, Kusturica.

I usually read classic novels or noir.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Inca Trail. My first pilgrim, my most amazing hiking!

Rototom Sunsplash in Italy, and Rock al Parque in Colombia, the best festivals I have been.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe every thing we go through change us, more or less deeply, but always have a consequence. It is our responsibility to find the best and to keep it, to learn from others and to give them our best side, to show our positive attitude.
That is exactly what happened to me during my last travel, and what I am looking for during the next one.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good talks, some beers (of course!), my cat (even if I'm really jealous jeje!), italian food and italian coffee (I lost my mate during a travel, but I still have my italian coffee machine!)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bolivia, Chile, Cuba, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay
