Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to offer the same hospitality I received once while being away. Nine years ago I've been hosted by a couchsurfing member in Amsterdam. We lost the connection since back then. Recently i decided to reopen my couchsurfing profile but I couldn't remember my old password, thus here I a new profile, such a pity the 2006 profile is lost. Anyway, if you're planning to come and visit the Danube gorges or the unique Iron Gates natural park, or maybe the caves in the north of my county- the Mehedinti county, or perhaps you'd care to see ancient ruins of both Trajan's bridge over Danube or why not, the (now unearthed and restored) medieval fortress of Szörènyvar / Severin from the middle ages' Szorèny Bansag / Banatul de Severin, well, leave me a message, I might be around and glad to show you the town.

Very important disclaimer for anyone asking for hosting:

My house ( yes it is mine, I am its proprietor) it is not a ho(s)tel, I do not care for any review regarding my place, how clean or dirty you'd find it whether the conditions qualifies for a 5 star hotel, or humbly, only for a single star cottage, I do not give a flying fuck about your opinion, I never ask anyone to come by actually it is quite the opposite . So, my house, my rules ;) If you're an ungrateful spoiled lil' brat, mommy's boy or girl in your first life's adventure, or an arrogant, self important sod , not knowing the basics of being a guest in someone else's house, all these above mentioned "qualities" disqualifies you from the very start, don't even bother asking !
If I agree you'd come and I'm able to host you don't forget to show at least a grain of gratitude and please do not piss on my hospitality, do not take anything for granted. I highly appreciate humble ones , the modesty is the highest virtue in my book followed by the quality of genuinely being generous and open to share. I do not need anything from any of you but I might read you between the lines very quickly ( me- ex military, keen sniper eye ;) so quite well about reading people) and it is going to take me like 5 minutes to regret I opened my door or to be enthusiastic for finding a great individual. Do not knock at my door if you're a stingy/tight/skimpy selfish character, I open heartedly offer whatever I have, but please do not feel you're hosted in a ho(st)el and mistake me for a maid cleaning after you, making your bed, washing your dishes or just take me for a concierge as i most definitely never been, am not, and won't ever be one. I am an open minded piece of a human , a really great guy as others might suggest, quite an intellectual but you'd get fooled by the looks of me .
Another very important aspect, do not ask me to offer you hosting unless you really, really, really need it, think not twice but three times whether you qualify and you're in deep need, I might come to "save you" as I do not have the heart to know you roaming in "die wilde Walachei" without a proper breifing . But understand that you're not making reservations at my place as I'm not the landlord of a ho(s)tel to charge you any fee. Coming with a request like " you're my third option, I just came across your profile so I eventually thought I'd ask you too. You're my third option whilst the previous two got better "packages", so I wait and see whether they'll host me and if not , I'll be back to you "... noooo, that's a big fuck off, go for it elsewhere, anywhere, just not here, do not bother to tell me that, again I am not your concierge and my house not a 24/7 open for guests hotel! If you do not know what you really need, go elsewhere, anywhere, get a room in a ho(s)tel, or maybe sleep on a bench in the park of your choice, there's plenty of them (parks) in the city with myriads of benches. Do not message me in the very last minute as I obviously mind other businesses as well.
With all these things being said, I might be available if in the city or who knows, maybe next time, if i'd be away at the time of your initial request.

What I Can Share with Hosts

my home, a separate room with bed, access to the toilette, kitchen, i can show you around the town and maybe the area. I have no idea how to cook, yet the kitchen is fully equipped :D the vegetables&fruits market is 5 minutes away, supermarkets( Carrefour, Profi) the same 5 mins away, bring your own food & have fun in the kitchen :D
