ABOUT ME

The greatest love of my life is travelling! I feel so complete when I'm travelling: when I get to meet travellers and speak to each other about what we've been through; when I visit breathtaking places, which make my imagination go wild; or when I experience amazing things, such as eating scorpions or silkworms. Travelling is mutual help, is perseverance, courage. I wrote the following poem just before going into one of the most incredible moments of my life (when I went to live in China for 8 months):

Life. Each day I learn something new about this word.
To live is much more than being alive.
To live is to feel every moment of our lives,
every little second that passes by without the intention of coming back one day.
The hours are running. Live!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to receive travellers at my house and share stories and lives for a couple of days. I would love to be received wherever I go and so share joy and happiness. I've already travelled a lot and I'm a storyteller, who loves telling true stories about what I've been through.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a few couchsurfing experiences and all of them were very enriching! I hosted people from Mexico, Spain, Brazil and England. And I surfed in Mendoza, Argentina. Couldn't complain about all those experiences.

Interests

As you may have realised I love travelling and sharing stories. I also enjoy so much being a tourist guide, if I have free time. I love dacing, listening to music, going to the beach, reading books and watching films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have taught English to children in China.
I have visited the breathtaking Temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
I have eaten fried scorpion and silkworms in Beijing.
I have taught Cabaret dancers how to dance Beyoncé's Single Ladies in Chiang Mai (Northern Thailand).

Teach, Learn, Share

When travelling alone around Asia, I learnt a lot about myself and how to deal with the others. Travellers are a family. When we are alone for so long and far away from home, we see our fellow travellers a potential family member and so we share our lives, even if it is only for a couple of hours. We learn how to listen and support those people that somehow came across our path and give them courage to carry on. Maybe we will never see each other again, but at that moment we were our grestest friends and we helped each other. Therefore, even if I'm back home, I feel I'm travelling, for travellers who may come will be treated with warmth and happiness.
