I did a master degree in Development Studies at Lund University, Sweden, currently doing a PhD degree in practical philosophy in my home country, Georgia. My academic interets focuse on the alternative visions to western hegemonic paradigm of development, such as Ecological Swaraj, Buen vivir and Degrowth - the models that are not mediated through western discourses of social changes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing offers an interesting alternative to the market-based traveling industry, connecting people to share and care each other without seeking material gain. The main reason why I am here is to get some traveling tips and advice from locals before visiting the country and, if possible, hang out. And, of course, anyone visiting the capital of Georgia is welcome to hang out with me.
