My name is Ivan and I am a 22 year old from Long Beach, CA, USA. I am a full time graduate student currently working towards my Master's degree in Social Work. I have passion for meeting new people and exploring the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The only Couchsurfing experience that I had was when I traveled to New York in Summer 2011 and it was a really positive experience and looking forward to doing it again.

Music, Movies, and Books

I absolutely love listening to all kinds of music. I am known to always have my headphones on my ears. Since I was raised in the 90s, my favorite genre of music is Pop and some of my favorite music artists include Britney Spears, Beyonce, Shakira, Lady Gaga, Adele, Pitbull and I'm also starting to enjoy electro music.

I also enjoy watching movies on my free time. Some of my favorite movies include: Crash, Little Miss Sunshine, Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mean Girls, among others.

Teach, Learn, Share

Coming from a social work field, I am known as knowing how to listen. Since we often tend to get distracted in our day to day lives, I feel like as humans, we have forgotten how to do the simplest things such as relaxing and taking the time to listen to others. I believe that I can share with others my knowledge and learning from others as well.
