About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live my life intensely, feel and share emotions, never stop dreaming, discover and appreciate myself through the others. Travelling and taking a picture to everything has its own objective beauty.

ABOUT ME

Here I am, this is me.... Ivan, 31 years old. I was born and lived in Naples up to 27 years.
I have a degree in chemical engineering and I'm currently living in Turin and working for an italian oil company as lubricants sales engineer and technical consultant.
I also had a previous experience as a process engineer in a biopharmaceutical company, and some other less important experiences.
Since I was young I've worked to get my economic independence and I'm very proud of it. So I think I'm extremely mature, responsible and willing to sacrifice.
After graduating, I decided to go abroad to give me a break. So I moved to Bristol. I lived there for six months, working as a bar manager. I was feeling so good in Bristol and I was starting to think to stay there for the rest of my life.
Then my degree led me to Italy again. So I accepted my fate and looked ahead...
I am now trying to find my way. I just want that work gives me the right satisfaction to go ahead and feel gratified. And it is one for which I fight every day.
Beyond the work I am an ordinary guy. I try to have fun day by day and enrich my life trough new exciting experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

What use to be sad?
Things can change if I can be optimistic every day more.
The world is full of things could change my life. I just have to find them!
Live my life, right now!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I discovered CS quite by accident two years ago. Since then I fell in love with its philosophy.
Many people think that CS is a way to save hotel costs. But absolutely it isn't!
Hospitality is more than just a place to stay the night .
I really like to host travelers from all over the world . Talk to them, discover their different cultures and traditions makes me want to travel .
I propose them to visit the city together, living as protagonists the local reality! I also like to bring them in some amazing places that are not mentioned in tourist guidebooks...
And when they go away, I hope they've felt at home and bring with them the essence of a thrilling experience.

Interests

Fitness & sport: I like to practice any type of sport. I played football and rugby at good levels. Now I practice regurarly interval training workouts. I really care about food choise and I'm very interested in diet and food supplements.

I also like culture, music, technology, engines, energy.

But travelling is my greatest passion! Discovering new places fills my heart and makes me feel part of something unknown. I like so much choosing a destination and treating the details of a trip.
Then I leave the rest to chance. Also because it's nice to live the journey as an adventure .

I met much more people I can imagine, found out open-mind English philosophy and had a lot of fun.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm open-minded.... So I would like to learn everything's different from my culture!
In exchange I garantee to teach you some "italian secrets" to leave freely and appreciate the beauty and "la joie de vivre".

Cooking is a passion. Italian cooking, of course!
So we could prepare something good together, drink an awesome bottle of red wine and chat till sunrise :P
