ABOUT ME

I want to take off my hat to nothing known or unknown, to go freely with powerful uneducated persons, to re-examine all I have been told at school or church or in any book, to dismiss whatever insults my soul, and hope that my very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of my eyes and in every motion and joint of my body.
I am currently combatting a tendency to plagiarise Whitman.

Hesse wrote that One never reaches home, but wherever friendly paths intersect the whole world looks like home for a time. PHILOSOPHY

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Lukewarm to torridly terrific. But the general couchsurfing member profile tends to be an egression away from the mean which in the case of human personality is generally a good thing.

Emerson, Romanticism, Aesthetics, composing tawdry poems, beatnik culture sans pretense, photo-portraits, tensegrity, Roman History, Samuel Beckett, altered states of consciousness a la Leary et Huxley, being bad at chess, being slightly less bad at backgammon, crossword puzzles, singing CCR and Louis Armstrong songs, trying to figure out more suitable names for people, quoting ancient Greek wise guys, doing socially unacceptable things in public, primate behaviour, cultural and social theory, neuropsychology, cultural anthropology, creative pedagogy, unschooling, dermatoglyphics, etymologies and discovering words like dermatoglyphics, social insects, and if films were narcotics I would have ODed a long time ago.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I stood alone, four feet from and gazed into the eyes of a wild puma moments after a mist-cloaked sunrise in the subtropical jungle of Argentine Mesopotamia. That was pretty wild.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you what not to do when in public and I teach by example, as well as how to effectively engage in self-deprecation.

I want to learn more about physics (thermodynamics and quantum theory would be great) also how to play the harmonica, self-teaching is not my friend, organic farming & sustainable construction - really itching to improve my castellano.

I will share my time, thoughts, laughs and hopefully we'll have spontaneous, exciting aventuras together.
