About Me

I used to be an electrical ingineer, now i'm a 'teacher'. Good thing about my profession is that i have a lot of free time during low season (in summer and after Christmas) . I live a quiet life with my wife and son and i'd like to make more friends around the globe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me couchserfing is not about searching a free place to stay. We all have to pay the bills in the end thus i don't mind using airBnb for example. What i'm lookong for is new open-minded friends. When travelling I don't really like casual sightseeing, it's kinda boring - you can see almost all of it on google street view for example. Though of course you can't leave Barcelona without Sagrada Familia picture :) I'd like to know how people live and communicate, listen to their problems and understand their lifestyle. You can't get it staying in a hotel :)

Interests

I like to watch discovery channel or history documentaries. I believe there's always several point of view on the same problem. I like to debate with people , though i prefer not to discuss politics :) Thus if you want to discuss if americans ever landed on moon or if god exists or what's the best country to live in - feel free to invite me to drink:)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to watch Holywood movies. Actually i'm learning Ensligh though TV-series and video games :) That's a shame but the last book i read was 'Martian' back in 2012 or 2013. And it wasn't even a real book - i used my tablet to read it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I only dreamed about skyjumping :) Probably the most dangerous thing i've done was a trip to Moscow to buy a car. Wierd feeling to be in a big dangerous with a ton of cash in your pocket.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to practice my English and i believe the best way to do it is talking to people. Unfortunately I can't say that Belarus is popular for tourists, unless you are from ex-USSR or Turkey. It's almost a miracle to see a man in the street talking german or english for example. I can't offer you a place to stay but I believe i can give you tips and take on tour around the city when i have some free time.
