Hi, I am a 25 year old girl from the Czech Republic. Although I studied Public Administration, I realized I prefer something more creative than law. I love drawing, painting, making special-effect makeup (a few pics here https://ivanamakov.portfoliobox.net/ ).

I started traveling in June 2016; my dream destination was Yellowstone and I was fortunate to see it in that year and I spent 4 months there. After I came back to the Czech republic I realized that I’m not ready to stay here. I decided to take 2 short Erasmus + projects (Italy and Germany), and after that I moved to Cyprus for almost 9 months. Now, I’m back in Czechia (and I’ve just finished a graphic design course, hurray :) ) but I’m going to Canada at the end of April.

What is my motto? I believe that if you have strong passion and determination, you can do anything. Like J. R. R. Tolkien said in his quote - “where will wants not, a way opens”.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I remember when I was in hostel for the first time. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet other backpackers but I think CouchSurfing is a great way to meet locals and get to know their culture and traditions.
