About Me
** Currently in Iceland**
My name is Ivana and I'm very friendly, open to new experiences and my feet get itchy if I stay in one place for too long.
I'm fascinated by how different youth cultures in different countries can be and my absolute favorite thing in the world is listening to people who talk about something they are passionate about.
The thing I am most passionate about is languages. I finished my Bachelor in English and Italian, and right now I'm trying to travel and learn new languages, therefore I will be moving to Iceland in October, mostly to see the amazing landscape and to learn the beautiful language :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I used to be really shy when meeting new people, but lately things have turned around (mostly because learning a new language requires me to actually speak.. ) so joining the Couchsurfing community was a way to overcome my shyness and meet new people.
Interests
Coffee is probably the only thing keeping me sane and alive, as it is probably the only constant thing I have in life, it makes me feel safe and secure somehow. Also dogs, dogs are the purest form of love on this Earth.
I like cooking a lot, and I make fairly good brownies :)
Writing is currently a secret hobby I'm trying to turn into a not so secret reality.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy all kinds of music, I'm a big fan of jazz and I also like to listen to classical music. On the other hand, I also hae some fairly strange music in my music library - kpop, and most recently, Icelandic hiphop.
I like watching movies, but I'm bad at remembering them. The best movie I saw lately was "Old boys". I very much enjoy reading; Oscar Wilde is one of my favorite writers, but its hard to have a "favorite" book. The books which I would recommend and which I often take with me are: The Alchemist, Siddhartha and the Harry Potter series. Also, Zorba the Greek is one of the most beautiful books I've read in a long time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm pretty proud of the fact that I've read the Harry Potter series in 3 languages so far, even though this is probably the dorkiest thing you will have read the entire day.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a great listener, and I do it with passion. I can also help you improve your language skills.
If you like listening too, I'm very good at telling stories (fiction), and the ones that happened to me as well.
I'm very mediocre at playing the ukulele, but I will try for you!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my travel stories, good brownies, a bottle of your favorite alcohol! And books - I like to exchange books when I travel, gives me a reason to come back.
