We're Martine and Iris, a Dutch couple (31 and 32 years old). We live in New West in Amsterdam with our cat Lena. Keen to host some Spanish people in Jan/Feb 2024! We're not available for hosting in march/may/june.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I (Iris) always try to get off the beaten path, and it so happens you meet the most awesome people while doing that! Perhaps most of all I have amazing experiences when travelling and had so many people being so good to me, I feel I should earn back some karma points by hosting some of you lovely people :)

Also we're going to Barcelona from March to mid June, so we're looking forward to hosting some Spanish/Catalan people. Or maybe even people from Barcelona? We think it would be a nice way to get a bit in the mood and who knows; maybe even meet some people that we can meet up with!

Intereses

We're both into yoga. Martine is learning to massage (which makes me very happy haha) and I'm doing hoop dance (it's more than just wiggling your hips around). Martine works in data for a NGO and Iris in energy transition for the government.

Algo increíble que he hecho

We love travelling and have both done long solo travels to South America and other parts of the world, for example Iris studied a semester in New Zealand and Martine did a research internship in France. We've been together six years and have been together to Patagonia for a few months, to Nepal, to Vietnam and of course loads of places in Europe.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

We're both very keen to learn more Spanish! We've both have learned it a bit in our travelling in South America, and now busy with that Duo Lingo streak.. But of course nothing beats just talking to others.
