About Me

We have a cat. Your cat is also welcome. If you are allergic to cat hair, please do not request.

“Be a traveler, not a tourist. Try new things, meet new people, and look beyond what’s right in front of you. Those are the keys to understanding this amazing world we live in.”

I am a simple person and I enjoy hosting people at home. I am an explorer who tries new languages and new cultures, until my energy is over and I get back home to refill. Currently working as a Postdoc in Computer Science. I am interested in data systems and how they interact with modern hardware.

I was born in Brazil, where I lived for 25 years. After, I lived in the US, China and Denmark, where I am currently established.

I hosted around 50 people and couchsurfed more than 30 times in different countries. This experience showed and taught me amazing things I will never forget.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that an encounter with you is another step in my development as a better human being. I will share what I have and what I know with you. I expect to be your friend and discover together what this world has to share with us.

You are welcome at our home as a guest, if I have time I will spend it with you and show you around (on weekends). If you are hosted on weekdays, we may spend the evenings together.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- In 2013 I traveled to Argentina and Chile with my brother and a friend. On this trip we passed at Mt. Aconcagua and we decided to sleep on the mountains inside a car. At night, the temperature dropped to -15ºC. As we didn't have heating in the car, the glass froze and in the morning the car didn't turn on. We stayed two days off on the montains.

- Diving with reefs and fishs in Maragogi/AL - Brazil, it was amazing.

- Swimming into the caves with snorkel and flashlight in Chapada Diamantina National Park/BA - Brazil

- Driving through a sandstorm with very strong wind during my trip to the desert in Argentina. At the same trip, driving on the snow in the mountains.

- Sitting on the border of a wood bridge with lots of crocodiles and piranhas under me in Pantanal/Brazil.

- Sleep in a car during a strong thunderstorm in the entrance of the Itatiaia National Park in Brazil. 2700 m above the sea on a rock-crafted road.

- Leaving my home country to live in Europe without time for coming back (I am still here), just carrying a 21 kg backpack with everything I needed for a new life. I had never been in Europe before and I spent 15 days traveling alone in France. Then, I arrived in Denmark to start my studies.

- Trekking in the Greal Wall of China, and then, moving to Beijing alone for half a year.

- Backpacking in India. Looks not so special, but you will understand if you explore India by land, only you and your backpack!

- Learn how to use crystals and stones for self-development. They teach us how to feel the incredible subtle energies that surround every living being.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can explain how computers work, and how the big companies manage their data. It will help to understand the Internet and how the digital era rules our modern world.

In parties, I can teach how to make a good "caipirinha", a Brazilian drink. (I used to be a party maker, now only in special occasions).

I can share my experiences with lucid dreaming after more than 1.000 written dreams and 250+ lucid dreams. I can also share my experience in how to use crystal and stones to feel the subtle world we live in.
