About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm an old man but apparently will never be adult. I'm critical, self-ironic and also a perfectionist and of course sometimes I suffer from this, but it can't be helped. At least I always believe in the better.
I'll be happy to meet like-minded people from anywhere if they are ready to share their experience and it doesn't depend on whether we will ever meet in person or not. More likely we will if we see that we understand each other really well.
PHILOSOPHY
Given that there is no finite objective purpose of the world there is no correct or incorrect way of living life. Being a conscious creature is extremely unlikely in this universe, but we happen to be like this. We all popped up for a while in the mysterious world that makes no sense and we are able to be aware, to feel, to experience, to explore things and to keep being amazed by them, to find sense in absurdity and to share all this with each other. This is more than enough for us to do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My couch is so big that it fits for 3-4 people sharing it, but obviously my city is so unfamous and uninteresting that I don't even hope somebody wants to come here, especially foreigners. So my CS participance is doomed to my disproportional advantage :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As of travelling, strangely enough, I haven't been a surfer yet. As of hosting, read above. So, if you want me to have more references than I do, please, try to understand my situation.
Everything good once begins from a scratch! And having zero references as a surfer doesn't make me want to rob you and eat your children, be sure :)
Interests
I'm interested in everything: pleasant and universal (in order to discover and find a way to implement it) as well as strange and trivial (in order to understand how it is possible and find a way to avoid it).
I enjoy talking about:
life, death, nature, universe, science, consciousness, happiness, spiritual experiences, self-sufficiency, people, freedom, culture, cultural differences, religion, languages, geography, music, history, travelling and so on and on.
Music is my passion. I enjoy singing good songs for/with friends but singing alone is not bad as well.
I'm always ready for any crazy and freaky (non-lethal) activities.
E.g. meeting New Year in a running railroad coal van fits perfectly but still hasn't been experienced.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can enjoy music regardless of genre if it doesn't leave me indifferent. It may be reggae, dub, ska, rock, metal, singer poetry, world, classic, folk, klezmer, cumbia, jazz, downtempo, phychedelic, ambient, minimal, etc. I love freaky things very much. Even nasty trivial pop sometimes deserves attention (at least to make fun of)
I like philosophic and scientific books that touch upon serious issues. There are so many things to be read for so little time.
Teach, Learn, Share
Every little thing you once get to know can change your life forever. So I'm afraid of wasting time without learning and therefore finding out what I want from my life after all. Furthermore, if we are of different cultures we already have an inexhaustible source of amazingly interesting things for each other, for sure.
I'm very interested in spheres of culture that are usually hidden from foreigners: local lifestyle, habits, pop-culture, music, art, humour, language, philosophy. They are all based on inimitable conditions of life in our countries and regions, so it's hard to see them from afar. You don't live just by world-wide recognized things like your famous writers and your capital's sights, right? There are a lot of small things that are obvious for everybody in your country, but are so weird for me, and vice versa. Those nothings mean very much and they are the special gems I'm looking for and I could share the same with you.
I can tell you a lot about soviet/russian animation and music. Be sure it's a huge cultural stratum and it's worth it! And Russian language of course!
We can also sing/play something together or apart. And I'll appreciate if you keep further conversation with me, we will always have things to talk about.
