My name is Ivar, 25 years old and living in the Netherlands. My main profession is being a social worker, working in the field of people with addiction and mental illnesses.

I'm a really open person who wants to experience everything. I'm openminded in a way that I don't like to critize things but look for the positive side. Like the great Dutch football player Johan Cruyff said; 'Every disadvantage has an advantage'. I like philosophy and social sciences and trying to develop myself als a morally good person, though I have my sins like everyone.

Through CS i'm hoping to meet people from all walks of life, because everybody has its own story to tell and I hope to learn from it, just like I hope to have a positive influence in other people and hoping to share my stories someone can learn from me aswell. I believe that people develop through experience and because of the persons they meet in their life.

Interests

I love music and socialize. I am the guy who brings everybody together at the party haha. Music is life! I'm also into fashion and have a little bit of a sneaker thing, can't ever have enough sneakers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a real hiphop enthusiast and that is where my heart is. But my taste goes beyond that, I can enjoy all the music there is. From Rock to Classical.

I really like the movies that have the big plot twisters or just the mindfuck movies like Shutter Island and Inception. To be honest, every movie with Leonardo DiCaprio is awesome. But when it comes down to the favorite movie of all time, I have to go with the Godfather trilogy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Something I really enjoyed and what I found amazing was in Lagos. I found a spot where nobody was where I had an ocean view on the right and the city view on te left. I went there by my own at night and just sat there enjoying the stars above me. For me it was something amazing to experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you come over en stay at my place I can offer you a tour in Rotterdam. I live in a city next to Rotterdam, you will be able to get in Rotterdam in about 30 minutes by public transportation. But I have a scooter, so we can go by scooter and see Rotterdam. I can show you the places to party if you are interested in that also. In some cases I can arrange a car so I can show you other places in the Netherlands :).

Important!!! I have dog, so if you do not like a dog around the house I can not host you.

Besides it all I can offer a really good company in general and tell you about living in the Netherlands and also something about the Social Work I do for a living. And ofcourse a good home cooked meal!
