Overview
About Me
My name is Ivar, I'm a student in Future Planet Studies and in my free time I play trumpet in multiple bands, varying from funk to Eastern European Balkan music. Besides trumpet I like learning how to play new instruments like guitar, piano and other instruments. Other than music I play football, I love cooking and I give Dutch lessons to refugees.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
First of all: I like to show people my beautifull Amsterdam. Also I participated in two music exchanges with people from Greece and Turkey. This experience was so much better compared to being a standard tourist, that I decided that I want to let people experience the same. And I like hitchhiking by which I met a lot of locals, what I enjoyed. This is why I decided to make a couchsurfing account.

What I Can Share with Hosts
The biggest adventage of my appartment is the location, a very popular and busy neighborhood called 'de Pijp'. It is a 10 minute walk from the center and 1 minute from the Amstel (river). I have a small one-room apartment with a (extra) sofa bed. I have a tiny kitchen and a tiny bathroom, but hey; it is an expensive city and I think my attic is very cozy :). I can share music, food and of course stories with you. I'm also very interrested in cultural differences.
NOTE: Eventhough I am not anti weed (or other drugs), I won't accept people who are under influence of any sort of drugs.
Oh and, take earplugs with you because my refrigirator is quite old so its makes some sounds which can be annoying if you want to sleep.
