About Me

Film Studies ftw! Finally found something that seems perfect for me... :P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment as a surfer. But as soon as I have enough space and time, I'll offer a couch/bed/bathroom/kitchen/town for other surfers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A lot at old and new friends' the old school way! But not through this site, yet.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Queen, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, White Lies, The White Stripes, Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Coldplay, QOTSA, EODM, Tenacious D, Bloc Party, The Strokes, The Verve, early Oasis,The Vines, The Datsuns, Wolfmother, Digitalism, Phoenix, M83, Klaxons, The Libertines, Kasabian, Best Coast, Tame Impala, Radiohead, teenagersfromtokyo... 50's Rock'n'Roll, Rhythm'n'Blues, 60's classic and psychedelic rock, 70's glam rock, punk and New Wave, 80's synth pop and 90's and today's Indie, Alternative, Grunge music, but it gotta rock, it gotta have soul, it gotta groove, it gotta be funky! That's why I love a lot from Hans Zimmer and John Williams to Tarantino or Guy Ritchie soundtracks...

Literature: from Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" and "Silmarillion" to Frank Miller's "Sin City" or Batman stories and Alan Moore's "Watchmen", science magazines, political and journey reports, philosophical works (for example Hannah Arendt or Albert Camus)...

Movies: from numerous independent movies from all around the world (Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Scandinavia, GB and Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Australia, NZ, Latin America, the US - if it's a good story, if there are superb actors or visionary directors and cinematographers, I'm in!!!^^) to well written blockbuster movies (not really a fan of Michael Bay or Jerry Bruckheimer though^^), phantasy classics, sci-fi (Star Trek and Star Wars), Zombie movies (28 Days Later as well as Shaun of the Dead!), Indiana Jones and Blade Runner alike...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving! With sharks, dolphins, turtles, morenas, eagle rays and so many more in the Red Sea... amazing coral reefs!
I truly recommend it to everyone, before all this could be gone for a long time till marine life has adjusted to the new conditions caused by human water pollution, underwater sound pollution and the global warming itself.

Teach, Learn, Share

What can I teach? Only what I've learned. And I am still learning. Discussing with passion, using logical arguments. A very underestimated skill in too many internet forums or in political debates! ;P
I know a lot about human history, Earth's geography, some classical philosophy as well as political philosophy.

I speak German, English, Bulgarian and still know Latin basics! ;D
But I'd love to speak Japanese, Chinese, Arabian, French, Spanish or Hebrew some day!!!

And I wanna learn the electric guitar, bass and/or drums in the future!

I am grateful for any more local or cultural history to learn. And any new knowledge in sciences.
