About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See things, try things, read things, watch things, taste things, jump over things, duck under things, listen to things, tiptoe around things, dirty things ;), grow things, learn things, give things, spelunk things, throw things. DO ALL THE THINGS!
ABOUT ME
I'm pretty laid back and can be overly quiet, but perk up and will talk your ear off about a topic I'm really interested in, like movies, music, food, drink and language. I'm reliable and love trying new things, especially food and interesting new beers, wine and spirits. I grew up fortunate to see much of the United States, a nice chunk of Mexico and a bit of Canada but hadn't traveled farther outside of that until recently.
PHILOSOPHY
mambo dogface to the banana patch

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Coen Brothers, Tim Burton, Christopher Nolan, Peter Jackson, Wes Anderson, Mel Brooks, Tarantino, Sam Raimi, Guy Ritchie, Martin Scorese... dark comedies and anything with zombies.
All time favorite band is Ween. I´ll listen to just about anything but pop country.
I like to read, mostly sci-fi/fantasy/horror. Right now I´m working through a bunch of hefty books from the Stephen King bibliography.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While finishing up my college education in '05, I did an end of the year report for my Spanish minor about an artist who lived in a small village in Galicia and we became fast friends over email. My college paid for him and his wife to come to the States for a week to showcase his art as well as speak to Spanish classes. It was an amazing experience and we remained in contact all the while I told him I'd come and live in Spain some day. Six years later in 2011, I decided to bail on my life as a cubicle inhabitant and I found a job as a Language Assistant in Spain. Naturally I chose Galicia! I spent many weekends with my new Spanish family in Galicia and although I've since moved to Logrono we still keep in touch and will forever be good friends.
