I am Iva and I'm always horrible at inventing what to write to blank "About Me" sections :'D

I would describe myself as an easy-going, friendly and open minded person, who likes making connections with other people. I am a true idealist, able to immerse myself in own thoughts anytime and forget about reality - that's why I have set my current goal to improve in living in the present and enjoying life "here and now" :) If you know anything about personality types, I'd say I'm a typical INFJ.
I currently live in the Slovakia's capital - Bratislava, but I am not able to host for now :(

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I simply love the idea of Couchsurfing - it gives us the opportunity to meet, get to know and help other people. It allows us to share our thoughts, ideas and also pieces of our cultures :)

Interests

Photography. Painting. Traveling.
Those are my biggest passions. Right now I would love to improve my photographic skills and learn how to 'draw with light' :) .

Altough I don't do it very often, I like to draw and paint - both traditionally and digitally with a graphic tablet.

My favourite travelling method is just hitting the road and hitchhiking :) Until now I hitchhiked around 15,000 km in Europe.

I am also obsessed with dragons.

Reading is also one of my favourite activities. My favourite titles are Harry Potter, A Song of Ice and Fire, Ender's Game.. as a genre I like fantasy, sci-fi, poetry and also books / articles about psychology and personal growth (f.i. The Power of Now).

Game of Thrones, Star Wars, A Song of Sea, Room (2015), Cloud Atlas, Inception, HIMYM, Requiem for a Dream, Amèlie, Black Swan, Melancholy..

My favourite animes are: Hayao Miyazaki's movies (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbour Totoro....), Naruto, Kaleido Star, Death Note, AoT, Ga-Rei : Zero, FMA, Jigoku Shoujo...

Now, I simply fell in love with Drum and Bass. From electronic music I also like dubstep, but D'n'B is now No.1 for me. I also enjoy going often to dnb parties and festivals. I love almost every dnb genre, from liquids to crossbreed, neurofunk and hard dnb.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Altough I consider myself a beginner, I can teach you basics of photography and how to set-up your analog or DSLR camera correctly before you hit the trigger :'D And clearly if you are more experienced, I would be grateful if you shared your knowledge or tips with me :)
I can also teach you some Slovak bad, funny or difficult to pronounce words :D
If you wish, I can cook some pancakes or other meals :) Even though I am something like a vegetarian (I don't eat meat except fish, but only because I don't like it), I can also prepare meat :)
And as a bonus, I am good with finding cheapest flight tickets possible (in Europe) so I can also help you with that! :)
