Hey travelers!

I previously had an account here on Couch surfing, but it seems to have been deleted. 😔 hence the lack of info…

I am currently bike touring/bikepacking by myself (started in Astoria, Oregon, headed to LA) and looking for generous hosts along the way!

I was born and raised near Los Angeles, lived/studied in Oakland. I currently work as a substitute teacher and also teach English as a second language online to workers in the construction industry.

I really enjoy biking (obviously, haha), dancing (especially salsa/bachata), hiking, cooking new recipes, sewing, knitting, reading, learning languages. And traveling, of course!

I am a kind and respectful guest who loves to share good conversation. I’d also be happy to help out with any chores or cooking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I believe I’m doing it currently! Bikepacking so far has been an out-of-this-world experience. I feel fortunate to travel the California coast slowly, contemplating its rugged beauty with every pedal. It’s exhausting, but I can’t think of anything that makes me feel more alive and in tuned with my surroundings, my body, and myself. I hope this will be the first trip of many.

In addition, I’ve also been fortunate to travel extensively throughout Europe and Latin America. One of my favorite trips was traveling through Peru on motorcycle and volunteering for 2 months in the Sacred Valley, where I painted a mural!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Spanish or practice with you! I’m not a native speaker but I’m quite advanced and have even taught Spanish. Also maybe some salsa moves?
I also love to forage edible plants (especially those in CA) and can share my knowledge with you.
