About Me

I am a free spirit. My goal is to be at peace with myself, the people and places I encounter, and (on a spiritual level) the universe.

I love to travel. When I am out of my comfort zone and experiencing new things I feel most alive and present.

Body, Spirit, Mind, Divine
We all have a purpose…
to let our light shine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The world is full of friends that I haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting. I seek to have authentic experiences with locals when I travel, so I can truly be immersed in the culture of the places I visit.

While I cannot typically host people in this current stage of my life, I so look forward to a time when I can open my home to fellow travelers and experience the other side of the couch surfing community.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love Funk, Blues, Soul, Reggae, and Hip-hop.
In 2013 I moved to Austin, TX and I absolutely adore the live music scene. The community of musicians and lovers of music is an incredible family of beautiful souls. I have so much gratitude for each and every one of them.

Movies: Happy, What the Bleep Do We Know? Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
I don't watch a lot of movies, but when I do I like to watch documentaries and independent films that teach, inspire, or evoke positive emotions.

Books: The Four Agreements, The Celestine Prophecy, The Alchemist, many books by Thich Nhat Han, Real Food for Pregnancy, Savage Beauty: The Life of Edna St. Vincent Millay, Three Cups of Tea, The Code of the Extrordinary Mind, A Revolution From Within

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2016:
At nineteen years old I moved alone to the Virgin Islands without ever having visited. A few years ago I again moved alone, sight unseen to Austin, TX. They were both incredibly liberating and empowering decisions.

I hope solo backpacking through Central America will be equally incredible. Update-it is!! Sailed from Mexico to Guatemala in a 45ft sailboat. Climbed to the top of the mast, overcoming my fear of heights. Dove to the ocean floor to retrieve a spatula that fell overboard, overcoming my fear of free diving. Bring on the next adventure, CAm, I'm ready!!

Feb 2022:
Three years ago I decided to become a single mama. I studied and read everything about natural childbirth that I could get my hands on. I meditated daily about a peaceful, pain free and beautiful birth for my daughter. In October of 2019, my manifestations came to life. I had an unmedicated, almost completely unassisted water birth at my house. I was deep in meditation the entire 9 hours And it was everything I desired. I hope more and more women realize that birth does not have to be painful or scary, but can instead be a deeply spiritual and calm experience.

I am now embarking on my first solo trip since my daughter came earthside over two years ago. I am deeply grateful to take this time to re-center myself and experience a bit more spontaneity than the last two years have provided. Motherhood has by far been my greatest adventure and my greatest challenge. As much as I love to wander the world with my little one by my side, for the next week I will bask in the sweet freedom of doing whatever my heart desires.

March 2022: A whole new adventure is about to begin!

Teach, Learn, Share

By sharing our experiences with open hearts and open minds we can help to elevate each other. I am a calm and patient teacher/tutor. I would love to drastically improve my Spanish and help others improve their English. I also love receiving and sharing information about nutrition, natural healing, medicinal plants and herbs, spirituality and more.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Positive vibes, peaceful energy, a helping hand, early childhood insight/natural, gentle parenting perspective, an adventurous friend, a home cooked meal, real Maine maple syrup :)
