Resumen
Sobre mí
Born and raised in the States. I have been living abroad for 5 years now! I own my own online business which allows me a lot of flexibility. I take every opportunity to work from the beach, mountains, or a new city. I live in Guatemala currently but find myself traveling every few months. I’m a musician in my free time. I am currently learning pole dancing. Humanitarian. Very social.
I often am a solo female traveler but also travel with my partner, Alex, as well. We love hosting here in Guatemala. He's a local and I've been living here a few years now so we have lots of tips for incoming travelers.
My partner, Alex: 26, Male Guatemalan. He is a professional breakdancer and competes mostly in Latin America but looking to expand globally. If you have any Bboy connections let us know! Alex is a bit shy at first but is very sweet and funny when he warms up. He is always making folks laugh. Alex is learning English so would love to practice with you.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I want to share in experiences! Some of my best travel experiences have been through couch surfing.
There is no better way to get to know a place than by getting to know the locals! Both my partner and I love making friends along the way.
I also want to introduce people to the beautiful culture of Guatemala. I know you'll fall in love with it.

Música, películas y libros
I'm a musician! I play guitar, ukelele, and I sing! Soft pop, acoustic top 40, R&B, and more!
I love reading- Currently reading The Body is Not an Apology and Navarre
Movies- I love action and adventure. Marvel is my favorite at the moment. The fast and furious series has a special place in my heart. I could also go for a binge marathon of classics on Disney+
Algo increíble que he hecho
Been on CNN! Anderson Cooper did a special on me a few years back. It taught me a lot about media's perception of people's lives and stories. I'll be happy to tell you the details :)
Enseña, aprende, comparte
Teach- Music: how to play guitar or uke. Language: English or Spanish, I used to teach english in Japan. Dance: I've taught salsa and bachata lessons. We can have at home lessons or head out to a local salsa bar. My partner is great with local dishes as well and we can show you how to make tortillas and rellenitos!
Learn- Any and everything! My favorites are local or traditional dances and your favorite dish :)
Share- Something I love to share is recipes! I hope to be able to cook you one of my favorite dishes and also learn how to make some local food. Drinks. Laughs. Board games.
Show- Here in Antigua we would love to show you some of the local ruins and the ones less known by tourist. The same goes for the market and hang out spots. I know how it is to want to go deeper into a culture and we want to share that with you!
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
Again, for host- I love sharing recipes. I am pretty resourceful and would love to make you a dish or two during my/our visit. Some of my signatures are my vegetarian chili, black bean burgers, or southern-style mac and cheese.
If you're not too shy, I will happily show you some dance lessons as well. I used to teach bachata, ballroom dancing, and sala. My partner is also a professional breakdancer and can show you the basics.
Music- I am a songbird and will likely always have my instrument nearby. I would love to sing a few songs for you!
