Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about Couchsurfing from a friend, and when I looked into it, I liked the idea of connecting with people from all over the world. It's a great way to meet new friends, learn about different cultures, and share experiences. Plus, it's an affordable way to travel and see new places. I'm planning on starting to host in a few months, and I would really enjoy doing it then. For now, I'm just hoping for genuine human connections and new adventures. I'm excited to show travelers around Nairobi and introduce them to my culture. Happy to show you around my city!

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music, I’m all about variety! From the latest hits to classic tunes, I love discovering new artists and genres. Some of my favorites include Afrobeats, country, and a bit of pop. I’m always up for a good concert or just jamming out to a great playlist.

For books, I enjoy a mix of fiction and non-fiction. I love getting lost in a good novel, especially those with rich storytelling and relatable characters. Some of my favorite authors include Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and of course some classic writers as Jane Austen. I also enjoy reading about history and different cultures.

Movies are my go-to for a relaxing night in. I’m a big fan of dramas, comedies, and a good thriller now and then. I love films that make you think and those that can make you laugh out loud. Watching movies from different parts of the world is always a treat, as it gives a glimpse into other cultures and perspectives.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done is visit the Maasai Mara during the Great Migration. Seeing thousands of wildebeests and zebras crossing the Mara River was absolutely breathtaking. The sheer number of animals and the dramatic scenery made it feel like I was in a nature documentary. It was an unforgettable experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you all about Nairobi! From the best local spots to grab a bite to the hidden gems that only locals know. Plus for the non-Swahili,if you're interested, I can share some Swahili phrases to help you get around.

I'm eager to learn about your culture, your language, and your favorite travel stories. Every person has a unique story, and I can't wait to hear yours.

I’m planning to start hosting in a few months, and I can't wait to dive in! For now, I'm just looking for genuine human connections and new adventures. I'm super excited to show travelers around Nairobi and give them a taste of my city. Happy to show you around!
