hmmmm idk where to start.........Im Ivy Im bi. I currently doing my degree in the uk. I was born in Moscow,grew up in Cyprus,somewhere in the surburbs~ i didnt have the best childhood cuz i got sick a bunch when i was kid. I missed out on so much fun and opportunities to explore, so i kinda ended up having no hobbies or skills worth mentioning. So now that im in a much better place both mentally and physically,i want to dabble in as many things as i can,see and experience different things that this world has to offer and hopefully discover what im passionate about and what clicks with me along the way:)))))) When i travel i feel the most alive and like im making the best use of my time cuz ur perception of time rly changes when everything around u is new and exciting. I luuuuuuuuuuv meetin new ppl and hearing stories from someone who has a different background.I was super isolated for the better part of my life .There werent ppl my age in my neighbourhood,and i went to in different city.Plus i spent my teenage yrs battling my depressed brain that was actively sabotaging me. The running theme of my life at that time was depression ,loneliness and being lost. So yah now i treasure the friendship and human interactions i get immensely. For me the best part of solo travelling(always solo cuz i dont have anyone in my life who wants to go places with me haha) is interacting with ppl i meet randomly and i over time gained so many friends from different parts of the world its a truely beautiful thing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

like i mentioned I was quite isolated growing up,and looking back all the best moments/highlights in my life are memories from the trips i went on. im at a point in my life where i have no clue what i want to pursue,professionally or otherwise,and i don't have a passion that many things but for sure travelling is one of them. And i love ppl,talking and listening to ppl gives me energy:)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Was severely depressed for 6yrs and attempted suicide twice. medication didnt help, i didnt get the emotional support from anyone either, but somehow i manged to live thru that dark period of my life without being irrevocably broken. I was the only one who was there for me and i didnt give up on myself even tho i thought about giving up every day, cuz just existing,being conscious an able to think was painful. Now i still get depressive episodes from time to time but I feel better than ever:)))))
