About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finding a happy medium between growing up and holding on to the hope of finding never-neverland
ABOUT ME
Born and raised in the USA, I always knew I wanted to see the World.
What I do to stay afloat in the real world? As I stated I am a fourth-year college student. I am studying communications and public relations/advertising, minoring in marketing in addition to nonprofit leadership. I believe in the common good and striving to reach it and soon hope to be working for an international nonprofit/NGO.
I am outgoing and open-minded. I enjoy many things but most of all enjoy being amazed..Nothing can replace the feeling of astonishment. I like having a good time and surrounding myself with great people. As much as I believe that happiness is truly not a destination but rather a manner of travel, I find it comes much easier through travel:)I guess you could say, I have the itch!

PHILOSOPHY
"Each one prays to God according to his own light" Ghandi
Everyone has their own sets of values which consequently shape the way they live their lives. I believe in getting out there whenever, and however, you can and in doing crazy things while you're young. I guess I'm a bit of an idealist and have a great sense of connectedness which I believe draws me to the outside world, as well as plays into that idealistic nature of mine.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just joined Couch Surfing.org after meeting a gal abroad who had amazing stories about her experiences. Shortly thereafter, a close friend of mine I studied with in South Africa, told me what a great experience it was for him throughout his European travels. Last May, I decided to join when I was planning a month long backpacking trip through Europe. We ended up sticking to hostels there and now I'm just waiting for the opportunity to arise when someone decides to pass through good ole Mankato, Minnesota!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have not yet gotten to experience what couch surfing is all about but I definitely hope to accumulate some stories of my own very soon.
Interests
Travel(along with the next couch surfer). I love anything to do with water - from swimming to any type of boating, fishing, or other water sports. Most of the time, just being near it also suffices. I enjoy downhill skiing and love to hike.
I like meeting people with different philosophies on life and that are open and deep enough to talk about them. I am interested in just about anything I haven't done and in learning about new cultures and ways of life.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many.. I like all genres although lately I've been slacking on the new releases. I like most kinds of music but prefer Indie and/or Alternative, 90s, and local music. Books I'm all over the place with and usually I end up most of the way through before I push it aside and start the next one. Finishing books has never been a strong suit of mine but I love to start them! (Maybe when I'm done with school I'll have better luck with the reading for fun)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, I jumped off a 316m bridge if that counts. Terrifying. Africa amazed me every step of the way. Can't wait to go back!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to learn, and if I know something you don't I'm willing to teach haha. I'd love to exchange travel stories. I'm always fascinated by people's journeys and how they lived out a dream. I admire those who do what they love to do; it is always reassuring to meet people like that.
