About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to find balance between the studies, work, passions and a desire to travel. Or in other words, looking for a moment I will dare to quit/change job in order to be able to travel more.

ABOUT ME

Sometimes I can hear I'm a cheerful and optimistic person, which I hope is true as much as I hope this is not everything you can tell about me, especially that I do get sad sometimes too (although not for long I guess).
I certainly enjoy learning and visiting new places, meeting new people and animals.

As a researcher and volunteer I'm very much interested in the social issues like environmental protection, minorities empowerment and animal welfare.

Whenever I can I go climbing, horse riding and read books. I'd love to watch the series but I don't (almost) at all cause they would too easily suck me and I'd probably have no time left for anything.

PHILOSOPHY

A word that is misused too often. We can talk about it if you like.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer couch and sometimes look for one too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not lot's of CS experience but I enjoyed it several times a lot both in Poland and other countries. Once I found it very helpful during a long travel.

Interests

I do horse riding and horse training, what I find the most exciting in this matter is probably a free horse ride in a forest. I have a horse (although "have" is probably not the best word), her name is Gaja and she's adorable although many people say her face looks strange. I actually like it and think it's special!
I always appreciate any mountain trekking or rock climbing opportunities, I train climbing regularly.
I work as an environmental social campaigner in an international NGO and try to combine this quite absorbing work with my other interests, like horse, climbing, travels, PhD studies. Not easy but that's fine, at least for now.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books... so many still on the waiting-list and don't make me give you the titles here! We can talk about books if you like or just share some lecture inspirations.

I prefer watching movies with friends at home (in cinema you can't comment loudly and have so much fun, can you?).

If you show me the album that is better than any of "the xx" there's quite a chance I'll praise you. I'm rather not so melancholic as they seem to be, just fancy letting it all go while listening.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm pretty sure people do many amazing things not one.

Deep water solo climbing in Italy was sth I definitely want to repeat somewhere in the world.

Well and India: every single moment spent there.

Hitchhiking travel from Poland to Turkey and then in Georgia and Armenia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you the basics of horse-riding, we can talk about books, philosophy or sociology, we can also do some less serious things and share good time.

I'm not good in talking about movies but happy to listen.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can spend time together, chat, have fun, cook, eat, do sports, visit art galleries, go out but if a host wants to host without socializing I totally respect that. I think I know how not to be a burden.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Iraq, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
