Hello, Aloha, Hola, Slaut, Kon'nichiwa, Ciao and as we say Zdravo!

I´m Iza Krampl, I live in Slovenia, and I love traveling, meeting new people, and making new friends. I am an easy-going person, who loves to experience new places, learn about new cultures, dances, foods, and languages. I am a dancer, choreographer, and graphic designer at Academic Folklore Groupe Ozara Kranj (instagram | @afs.ozara ). So traditional Slovenian, songs, dances, foods, and costumes are in my daily life, and I love sharing them.

I was born and raised in Slovenia, Golnik in a beautiful gorenjska region. I grew up in place that has all the nature you want, beautiful forests, amazing mountains and cold rives. Our family of 5 (yes, I have two more siblings, younger sister Mia and brother Tim) is connected through hiking, climbing, skiing and all other sports.

Through my high school years, I finished DofE programme, and became a mentor and expedition leader. The program was a great experience to meet people from all around the world and have fun in the nature.

While studying at Faculty of architecture at University of Ljubljana, I was working as a climbing instructor at high rope parks and as a climbing trainer. After finishing collage, I started working in a small architecture biro.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to travel and meet new friends, CS is a great place for that. You get new adventure every time you meet/stay with someone or host someone.

Music, Movies, and Books

The ˙Earth˙ without ˙art˙ is just ˙eh˙.

I like a little bit of everything. I am a big Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts and Star Wars fan, so science fiction and fantasy does it for me. As my favourite author I think I would say Jo Nesbo, with his Harry Hole crime novels, although I really love reading all kinds of books. When it comes to music it depends on how I am feeling atm, I love listening to rock, pop, classical music, techno, jazz and folk music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Free jumped of the bridge, to a narrow diagonal canyon during canyoning. That was a rush!

Finished DofE program and in 2017 hosted Erasmus DofE, and participants from all around Europe. They came to finish their final expedition here in Kocevje.

Teach, Learn, Share

As I am a member of one of the top Slovenian folk-dance groups, I can teach and share my knowledge on traditional, dances, song, costumes, and cuisine.

I would love to share a meal, drinks or just some fun activity time.

Wherever I go, I love to learn about people, culture, and food. Yeah, I love to have a good meal with some craft beer, wine, or any kind of drink really and with a nice company that is all you really need for an amazing evening.
