My name is Izar, I am 27, from Bilbao, Spain.
I’ve also lived in the UK, the US, Bali and now I’m in Switzerland.
I usually travel with HelpX (which is similar to Workaway) and that helped me a lot to being able to live in different countries. I don’t like just visiting the tourist places but to meet local people and do things with them.
I read once that the key in life is to have many different lifes!
I had my Spanish life, my English life, American life, Balinese life, a farmer life in a ranch with 30 horses in Alsace and now discovering Switzerland and the countries around.
When I travel for shorter periods I love using Couchsurfing since I think is the best way to get to know a place, for now I just used it in the US but hope that changes soon!
I feel like everyone here shares something in common that gets us closer, kindness, faithfulness and the love for meeting real people and discovering new places!
When volunteering around the world I usually do it taking care of animals, I have a strong love with them all!
I am also starting my studies for being a private pilot :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I said, I love traveling and I have been a long time traveling to many countries. However I think that where you really get to know a country is by meeting the locals. I discovered couchsufing and that is why I adventured myself in this. For the moment I only used it in the US and accompained by my couple. We have had great experiences and we want to continue doing this. When we have our own place, we will for sure host travellers from all over the world.

Interests

I like photography a lot, I like taking pictures as much as I like editing them. I like capuccinos with lots of foam. I also like everything related to the sea. Snorkeling, Scuba, sailing on a boat, although I don't get to do much of that. I listen all kinds of music, from rap, Reggae, Reggaetón (just for fun). By the way I love dancing. I also like to hear people talk about their trips, there is always something you learn when you do that.

Music: I listen to all kind of music but if I would have to chooose I would say, Reggae, ska

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-When I was younger than 15 years old I had already been in 4 continents.
-Survived to an armed robbery in United States! Feel free to ask me about that.
-Went to Bali for 1 month and I ended up living there for almost 10 months! I got stuck in paradise thanks to Covid19! :)
